If I have entered someone into my tree and have mistakenly put them into wrong place i.e. put a person in as a spouse instead of a son, if I delete them in one place can I put them in correct place or does deleting mean I can’t re-enter hint?

The app offers two classifications for hints - Best and Latest. Just wondering how they classify a hint as Best given that my apparently top rated Best hint is for an eighth great uncle in whom I have zero interest. In a related issue, the app provides hints for the most outlandish potential indirectly related ancestors (example - paternal grandmother of spouse of eighth great grandmother). Is there anyone out there that keeps that expansive of a tree? Lastly, I must question the artificial or otherwise intelligence of how some hints are assigned to individuals. Earlier today I was working on an ancestor who lived 1530 to 1601 in England. One of the hints applied to someone with the same name who was divorced in Florida during the 1950s. Now, to be fair to the app, it was just mirroring what the Ancestry.com website reports, but if this is one’s primary means of tracking one’s family tree, it’s multiple unnecessary and false positive hints increase the difficulty.

A great way to keep up with the family as it grows and a wonderful way of finding our family that came before and sharing that with our next generation. Enjoy discussing family history and with this app information is only a touch away on my phone and tablet.

I have not been able to access Ancestry since this update. I try to go in but the only thing that opens is a screen wanting me to set up a new tree. If I open AncestryDNA I can access my tree, but it is an all version and runs very slow. Thank you for your response. I don’t know why but it working now, after trying it numerous times I can again access my tree through Ancestry. Before I could only access it by going into AncestryDNA and when I would access the tree from there, it was an older version and ran very slow. I only gave it a 3 star rating since I have not had a chance to use it since I have able to finally access it. I have been using Ancestry for many years and have never had a problem before. I have my problems but they are due to my lack of knowledge on how to use some of the features. Thank you
