Use the app, when doing my reports for work. Off line Dictionary helps a lot. Be great if it could proof read for me but lol. Good app will always keep bought the upgrade worth it.
  • Stop changing it for no reason.

Nothing spectacular about the app. It works fine. With this new update, I don't like how the definitions are not listed immediately under the word as was before. Now you have to click on the box in order to read the definition for the word of the day. Why change it if it wasn't broken?
  • iPad support?

Why is there no iPad version of this?
  • Need to update “Retort”!

    By RangerMac61
I’ve used this dictionary for several years with at least three iPhones. Always glad to have it on board for a reference. However, tonight I found an error in the form of an omission. Among the definitions for “Retort”, there is no mention of a “Crematory retort”. When I looked up “Crematory retort”, the app told me there was no listing for that.
  • Not the best

It works well, however, I must say that the actual vocabulary is restricted. I’ve found independently dozens of real, definitive words that just aren’t listed. Quite frustrating as I do use this app regularly. Download the Miriam Webster app instead.
  • Regret purchase

I decided to pay for this app because for the last few years I really liked using the web version of thesaurus.com ... unfortunately the data sets, specifically “RELATED WORDS AND SYNONYMS” which for me is the core needed feature and UI are totally different and inferior in the iOS app. This makes using the app useless. I will still need want/need to go to the web version until the app is the same as the web experience. I hope this can be addressed. I feel like I just wasted my money.

  • Oh, What Fun!

I cannot exist without a dictionary at hand ... and noodling around this morning I checked out the Word of the Day page after ferreting out the definition I needed. THE WOTD pages included in other dictionary apps I’ve tried (and most, if not all, have one) included primarily words already in my vocabulary. THIS page was a rollicking excursion into esoterica. It seems that we’re teaching less and less grammar in public schools as the years pass ... and I think the grammar page would be of particularly good use to a plethora of people ... lay people (John and Joan Q. Public) and news casters every where.
  • Ads!!!

It was great until they put in ads that pop up before during and after looking up a word. Deleted app.
  • Absolutely amazing .

I love this app sooo much it helps me so much with my homework and extra activities. When ever I need to know something about a word (part of speech ,synonyms , antonyms, etc ) I cam just ask my app to help me . Five stars for me!
