  • Trying to gift a map

    By areallofthesenicknamestaken33
I tried to gift a map to my father and there is no way to transfer the map which I purchased on my phone to his device... now I’m stuck with $150 worth of maps that are useless to me... Edit - after calling Garmin support they sent me a microSd card with the map loaded for use on the chart plotter. This is great for Garmin and me - but doesn’t change my opinion much about the usefulness of this app. Changed from one star to two.
  • Getting better & better!

    By TheSlackdaddy
I appreciate the seamless updates foe all my Garmin marine products. I also like the ability to manage my waypoints. TheActive Captain Community is a good reference to visiting new places. Just took a trip to Marsh Harbor and got great ideas for anchorages and snorkeling. Blu Chart Mobile is a very good product. I wish I had the ability to share waypoints by text or emails though. Also would be nice to be able to better auto plan routes using my G2 chart like Navionics does.
  • Crashes constantly

Please fix the app so I can update my charts! It just crashes all the time.
  • Miss Blue Chart Garmin App

    By Kimabster
I do not know why Garmin did away with Blue Chart Garmin, that app could be used for navigating and worked with Active Captain too. This Active Captain app is clunky and is a waste. Bad decision Garmin!!!
  • A must if you own Garmin marine electronics.

A great App assisting you with all your Marine electronics.
  • Ease of use

    By BrianEisch
I’ve owned all the other brands...Garmin Active Captain is by far the most user friendly and so innovative. Imagine an app that literally tells you what to do, who’d of thunk it? Absolutely love this system.
  • App crashes on launch

    By dnx379zzz
Well actually the app is still active but in the background and if I navigate to it it crashes/disappears again. In the middle of a trip in the Bahamas do not really the ideal time to lose sync capabilities.
  • Peterborough Marina July 10-12, 2019

    By Mary on Pegasus
We made reservations to stay at Peterborough Marina. When we arrived, We were assigned slip C17. Ben greeted us at the slip and assisted in verbal commands to help us back in carefully and in control! He is a Valuable Asset to this marina!! The day we arrived they were setting up for a concert that night in the park next to marina. We had great/fun entertainment that night. But happy that the marina was a gated marina. The marina is centrally located to good restaurants/pubs, boat store, package store, Tim Hortons, Beer Store and LCBO. Ben assisted us again when we needed to get to a FedEx office before it closed. (I could not find an Uber driver) Ben offered to drive me. I give Ben and the marina 5 stars.
  • ActiveCaptain is greatly improved

    By Ablegen
After some growing pains, active captain seems to be making some great improvements in both usability and usefulness. It is hard for people to accept change, but this is still a great app and Garmin is making good improvements.
